Four months after their performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival Toon again was invited by keyboard legend Joe Zawinul to play together. On 11 November 2005 they performed at the 'Charity Event for the Lost Children of New Orleans' in Joe Zawinul's Birdland in Vienna.

 Many guests appeared on stage that night. Special guest was the great singer/pianist Willie Tee from New Orleans, who was a victim of the hurricane himself. He is an old friend of Joe and composer of the Weather Report tune Can It Be Done. |
 Toon and Joe performed several songs together. They started in a quintet setting with Willie Tee, drummer Silvio Berger and bassist Kyle Eastwood, son of Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood. They played Willie's song First Takes with Toon on tenorsax, and continued with Marvin Gaye's What's Goin On, with Toon on the soprano. |
